Course content
This ladder course provides you with the necessary knowledge about applicable legislation, correct use and inspection of portable ladders.
The course is based on the Working Environment Act, Executive Order No. 428 and 429, and the standards EN 131 and EN 14183. Through easy-to-understand modules, you will learn to choose the right ladder, set it up and use it correctly, and perform both daily visual inspections and the mandatory annual inspection.
Through the course, you will learn how to inspect a ladder step by step and understand the importance of following both the manufacturer's instructions and applicable regulations. We review concrete examples so you are prepared to work safely and responsibly with portable ladders in your daily work.
The course is built with text, narration, images, video and tests, each helping make the content easier to understand.
Who is this Course For?
The course is aimed at both company owners, employees who use ladders in their daily work, and persons responsible for maintenance and conducting the mandatory annual inspection.
Scope of instruction:
Safety is a shared responsibility. The company is obliged to ensure that ladders are inspected by a competent person at least once a year.
As an employee, you are responsible for visually inspecting the ladder before use to ensure it is in safe condition. Many ladder accidents occur, often because insufficient inspections have been carried out or the necessary safety measures have not been taken.
